Stand tall like the Redwoods

Last year I had the privilege of visiting Armstrong State National Park in Guerneville, California. I always wanted to visit these giant trees and witness their beauty first hand and I was grateful I got to see such soaring beauties during a trip to Sonoma.
It’s interesting how redwoods are the most hearty of all trees because forest fires often help them grow because they kill off all the small trees and ground brush that often competes for the water and sunlight they so desperately need to survive. It was amazing how some trees were partially burned but still thriving and growing.
One of the most interesting aspects of the trip was how tall and strong these trees were. Being around these majestic beauties inspired me to look for ways in which I could stand tall and proud in my own life and made me question where was I falling short and refusing to grow?
The answer was perfectly clear – in my writing. I haven’t written a blog in over a year and by not sharing my life and my experiences I was not living up to my calling. In essence, I was falling short by not using my God-given talent to help or inspire those that could use it.
Visiting these soaring beauties helped me tune into how I can stand tall in my own life by sharing ways in which we all can make the world a significantly better place to live and grow. Now it’s your turn. Where in your own personal or professional life are you refusing to stand tall and grow? Are you refusing to take additional classes that will not only increase your salary but improve your skillset? Are you refusing to speak up for yourself in stressful situations? Are you tolerating a difficult personal relationship because you think you have to remain small and invisible? If you answered yes to any of these things you get to brainstorm ways in which you can stand tall in every aspect of your life just like the beautiful redwoods in California.

PS. I’d love for you to sign up for my newsletter because I’ll be unveiling a new class geared towards helping you stand tall in every area of your life in the next couple of weeks.
